Prof Yves Bréchet is the chair of Technological Innovation at the “Collège de France”. In 2012, he was appointed the High Commissioner for Atomic Energy by the Council of Ministers of the French Republic. He is also a professor at Grenoble INP and adjunct Professor at McMaster University (Canada) and JiaotongUniversity (China). Prof Yves Bréchet is also a member of the French Academy of Sciences.

He will be in Singapore at the end of the month, to give several lectures that are jointly organized by the Embassy of France in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) and the Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS).

  • The first public lecture will be held on 30 September 2013 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at NTU. Prof Yves Bréchet will talk about “Materials Science : From materials discovered by chance to made-to-measure materials”. This lecture is free and open to the public, but registration by 23 September 2013 is required.

  • From 1 to 4 october 2013, Prof Yves Bréchet will give the College de France lecture series on materials sciences at the IGS.  Joining him are participating professors from NTU. These lecture are free and open to the public, but registration by 20 September 2013 is required.
