COLOURS OF IMPRESSIONISM : Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay

Meet some of the greatest painters at a monumental exhibition.

The National Gallery Singapore presents a temporary exhibition from 16th October until 11th March with the theme « Century of Lights ». The two exhibitions will present famous artworks :

Between Worlds : Raden Saleh & Juan Luna

Discover more than 80 artworks realised by two painters. Raden Saleh, indonesian painter, and Juan Luna, philipino painter, both considered as « national heroes » in their own countries.

Colours of Impressionism : Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay

Come and live the history of impressionism in its globality. The greatest masters, through their careers and stories, will show how colours and audacity had made this movement’s history in the course of time. Come and get acquainted with Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Manet… and their sixty artworks shown for this occasion.


If you enjoy discussions, come and attend the Art Talk « The Impressionists and Colour: Another History » the 17 November at 7:30PM in the National Gallery. Paul PERRIN, curator at the Musée d’Orsay, will talk about the importance of pictorial traditions and science, between the theory of colours and Neo-Impressionism. This conversation will bring new perspectives to this famous movement.
