IFS promotes French music, dance and performing arts and supports collaborations in these fields through shows and residencies.
Except from DJs and internationally renowned artists, Singaporean institutions are reluctant to support French contemporary musicians. IFS therefore plays a decisive role in helping to convince Singaporean institutions to trust modern French artists. In this connection, Music Matters Festival (May 2015) might organise a French Professional Platform for contemporary music in Asia-Pacific.
IFS also supports local companies staging French plays or performing French shows.
Dance and shows targeted at young children are extremely successful in Singapore.
Opera and classical music are at the heart of many Franco-Singaporean projects.
The most recent fields of cooperation between France and Singapore are street arts and circus (alliance of visual arts and performing arts).
Desire for French culture is also expressed via a series of exchanges between Singaporean and French art schools, as well as artistic residencies.
